Celebrating Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde

In honor of Celebrating Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde, who passed away earlier this year. We wanted to share some of her life stories with you. Dr.ildaura was an advocate for mental health and PTSD sufferers alike. She was also a tireless worker in the mental health field. Helping people find the resources they need to get the treatment they need. By sharing her story, we can all learn from her example and continue to make a difference in our community. How Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde has Impacted Our Community

 Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde is a hero in our community. She has dedicated her life to helping others and has significantly impacted the lives of those around her. Celebrating Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde is the founder and president of the nonprofit organization. La Salle Alliance, which provides support and services to low-income families in the area.

La Salle Alliance was founded in 2007 to empower low-income families and individuals. Through education, healthcare, and essential services such as food security, childcare, and financial assistance. Since its founding, La Salle Alliance has helped more than 5,000 people in need.

Dr. Murillo-Rohde’s work is important not only because it helps people in need. But also because it teaches them about themselves and their potential. Dr. Murillo-Rohde helps low-income families build self-esteem and better understand their strengths and abilities through her programs.

Her work has positively impacted many people in our community, including herself. Dr. Murillo-Rohde credits her success to the programs La Salle Alliance. “They’ve given me everything I needed.”

We can all learn from Dr. Murillo-Rohde’s example: we can build a stronger community by helping those who are struggling.

Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde Award Ceremony

On Saturday, October 14th, the community of East Harlem. Gathered in involvement and support to honor Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde for her heroism. The event began with a procession from Christ the King Catholic Church to St. Nicholas Park. Where a memorial service was held in Ms. Rohde’s memory, followed by a sumptuous banquet hosted by the Hispanic Federation.

In her keynote address, Commissioner Veronica Escobar praised Ms. Murillo-Rohde’s.   “She was an unwavering advocate for our community,” Commissioner Escobar said, “and through her work, we have made great strides.”

Noting that Ms. Rohde had died just weeks before her planned retirement. Many presents shared their thoughts on what she had left behind. A legacy of service and commitment to making things better for those around her. “We are all very sad,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., “but we know she is happy now.”

How Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde Has Impacted the Lives of Others

Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde is a dedicated and compassionate doctor who has profoundly impacted the lives of her patients. Dr. Murillo-Rohde has dedicated her career to helping others and has significantly contributed to medicine.

As a physician, Dr. Murillo-Rohde has helped countless patients get the treatment they need. She is known for her dedication to her work and compassion for her patients. She is also highly skilled in her field, which makes her an excellent doctor.

Dr. Murillo-Rohde has also made significant contributions to the community. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Hispanic Medical Association (HMA). She also volunteers for many charitable organizations.  The Special Olympics and Meals on Wheels, which help provide food for those in need.

Dr.ildaura Murillo Rohde’s Life and Legacy

As a pediatrician and community activist, Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde was influential in her adopted hometown of Baltimore for over three decades. Her work helped to improve the health and well-being of children and families in need. 

Murillo-Rohde was born in Mexico City in 1951 and came to the United States as a child. She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1976. And began practicing Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital that same year.

Murillo-Rohde quickly made a name for herself as an expert on child health and wellness. She co-founded the Baltimore Pediatric AIDS Foundation in 1987, which raised money to fight HIV/AIDS among children. She also served on the boards of several charities, including Children’s National Medical Center and Project Angel Heart.

Murillo-Rohde was an outspoken advocate for public health issues throughout her career. In 2000, she testified before Congress about the need for improved healthcare for impoverished children. She also served on the advisory board of The Children’s Defense Fund (TCDF). Where she worked to improve access to education and healthcare for vulnerable children worldwide.

Murillo-Rohde retired from practice in 2006. But remained active in her community until her death at 68 on December 5th, 2016. Her legacy will live

Conclusion

Celebrating Dr.ildaura Murillo-Rohde as a hero in our community was an important step.In healing the wounds inflicted by her death. Her legacy of service and dedication to others will continue to be remembered long after she has been gone. The outpouring of love and support from the community shows.  She is not forgotten and that her message of resilience will live on.
