Troubleshooting Step 2: Switch QuickBooks to multi-user mode on the server

QuickBooks Desktop can only share corporate files with other network systems when running in multi-user mode.

Quit the QuickBooks desktop application on all workstations on your network.

Then access the company’s files on the hosting server. On the File tab, click Switch to multi-user mode.

If your company file is located in a read-only network folder
