Luxi is our Favorite Mattress for Couples!
Kaye and I founded Memory Foam Talk more than a year ago to find a mattress that meets our respective sleep needs and preferences. This was something we had previously disagreed on quite often in the past.

We are sorry to say that starting a mattress review website didn’t help as much. We have almost reviewed 40 mattresses so far. Our disagreements have increased in most cases as she doesn’t always like what I do after buying mattress online.

We share many of the same mattress firmness preferences, so we didn’t get the universal comfort model Bed-In-A-Box options.

The Oder, they slept too hot.

The Oder, made us feel every movement the other made throughout the night.

We then discovered the Luxi Sleep mattress…

Everything changed!

Why is Luxi so special?
Their “flip-it / split-it” design allows us to customize each side according to our sleep preferences. This makes it possible for us all to agree on the firmness and comfort of our beds. We can both set the Luxi up in our way, with each side having a different firmness.

We used to fight over mattresses in our bedroom, even though we were reviewing them as part of the review process. However, the Luxi would often be the one we slept on.

We set up the Luxi on each side (my side is softer, Kaye’s side is firmer). This allows us each to sleep on the mattress as we wish. Game changer.

And what else?
There are a few things that can make a difference when purchasing a mattress to share with a partner. It is important to regulate temperature and sleep hot. It’s not fun to share a bed with someone who is 98.6 degrees. Not enjoyable.

This problem is not present in the Luxi for two reasons:

1. The Luxi’s construction does a fantastic job of reducing heat buildup. The “knobby” Support Balancing Technology layer (SBT), does a fantastic job of improving airflow and minimizing heat.

2. Split configurations are better at preventing heat transfer because they have separate sides. This prevents heat from transferring between the sides. It does make a difference.

How about motion transfer?
That is a wonderful question. Bed shaking is another issue at night. This can happen when either one of us moves in the night.

This is eliminated by Luxi’s split design and construction. There is no motion transfer. This is something that even the most expensive mattress we tested cannot achieve. The cover is too thin to allow the motion to be transferred.

Kaye is very grateful for this. She often gets on me at night because I wake her up when she’s restless or if she drinks too much water. We are grateful that Luxi has made it easier to not move or shake the bed.

Your company does everything to ensure you are satisfied.

Luxi Sleep is proud to make sure their customers are satisfied and not contribute to the waste or environment by disposing of mattresses customers return. Here’s a tip: Most mattresses are not returned. They are disposed of, or in the most extreme cases, donated to charities.

Luxi has a low return rate, around 1%. This is because they will go above and beyond to resolve any issues you might have. The Sleep Experience Team will ship additional comfort layers and firmness layers to ensure your mattress meets all of your needs.

The company listens to customers by adding layers to your mattress on either one or both sides. Shannon Farley, the daughter of David Farley, and founders go above and beyond to ensure that customers have a great mattress-buying and support experience.

This makes all the difference when two people share a mattress.
We feel that we are worthy to be able to say “trust us.” This past year, we have slept on more mattresses than any other person will ever. There are many great mattresses for one, but not all.

Luxi does it right, for both Luxi and me, in the same bed.

This means I spend less time in the other bedroom! Luxi, our favorite mattress for couples – Luxi!
Kaye and I started Memory Foam Talk about a year back with the express purpose of finding a mattress to meet our sleeping needs and preferences. Something we had disagreed on quite frequently in the past.

It’s true, we didn’t think it would help, but starting a mattress site was a good idea. The sheer number of mattresses we’ve reviewed (approaching 40) has been overwhelming. This has led to more disagreements between us in many cases. What works well for me may not work for her.

Many of the Bed-In-A-Box models that offer universal comfort didn’t have the firmness option we shared.

Or they slept too warm.

Or they made each other feel every move during the night.

The Luxi Sleep mattress was then found.

All that changed was the fact that everything had to change!

Why do we love Luxi?
One, their “flip it/split it” design allows you to tailor each side to your individual preferences. That makes it easy for you and your partner to have a comfortable and firm sleep. Each side can be set up to have a different firmness so that we both feel comfortable and can customize the Luxi as we wish, even though we are sharing the same mattress.

Before we tried the Luxi, it was a constant battle between us over which mattresses we could sleep on. This would lead to one of us being in the spare bedroom.

Each side of the Luxi was individually configured (my side is softer, Kaye’s is firmer) so that we can each choose how we want to sleep on it. Game changer.

Some factors can make a huge difference in purchasing a mattress to share. Temperature regulation and sleeping hot is an important factor. A shared bed with a 98.6-degree human on materials that retain heat (or don’t reduce it) can result in a sweaty, sticky night. Not enjoyable.

For 2 reasons, the Luxi isn’t affected by this problem:

1. The Luxi is built with materials that minimize heat buildup. The unique “knobby” Support Balancing Technology, (SBT), layer does a tremendous job in improving airflow.

2. Because they are completely different sides, the split configuration prevents heat transfer and heat from being transferred between them. This makes a huge difference.

What about motion transfer?
This is an excellent question. The bed shaking at night can also be a problem. One or both of our beds may move during the night, causing us to change sleeping positions, get up, or go to the bathroom.

This is eliminated by Luxi’s unique split design and construction. This means that there is no motion transfer. Even the best mattresses we have ever tested can’t do this. When the mattress is covered in a defect, it is physically impossible to transfer the motion.

Kaye loves this and will often get on me in the night to wake me up if I am restless or have drunk too much water. It is a great way to improve our sleep and we are thankful that Luxi has improved it.

Our company will go the extra mile to make you happy.

Luxi Sleep takes pride in making its customers happy. They also don’t waste mattresses. (Here’s the hint: mattresses aren’t returned. In most cases, they are disposed of and in the best cases donated to charity.

Luxi has a very low rate of return (sub 1%) because they go the extra mile to solve any issue. Their Sleep Experience Team is willing to send additional firmness layers or comfort layers to make sure your mattress meets your requirements.

These layers can be added to either one side of your mattress or both. This company is committed to listening to its customers. Shannon Farley and David Farley are the founders of the company. They go out of their way to make sure that you have an amazing mattress buying experience and customer support.

That makes all the difference for couples who share a mattress
We feel confident enough to say that we can trust you. We’ve slept on many more mattresses in the past year than anyone else. One of us may have a great mattress, but it might not be the best for another.

Luxi has it all, and we both love the same mattress.

That means that I will spend fewer nights in the other area.
