Teen Patti is one of the most popular card game variations in India. 3 Patti, also known as flush or flash, is a competitive game in which the person who has the best card combination wins the pot. The rules of 3 Patti, which originated in India, are extremely similar to those of the British game “3 Card Brag.”
You’re probably aware that you may earn Paytm cash by playing games such as Ludo, Carrom, Poker, Rummy, and so on. 3 Patti has now been added to this list of games.
It’s even easier to play the Teen Patti cash game online than it is to play with friends and family at home or during Diwali. When you play Teen Patti, you play against the dealer and are just concerned with your own cards.
Rules of Teen Patti
- With a deck of 52 cards sans jokers, the Teen Patti card game can be played by 3 to 7 players.
- Three cards are dealt face down to each of the participants at the table.
- The dealer is the player who is assigned to the button at the start of the game at random.
- Following the distribution of cards, betting begins with the person seated to the left of the dealer.
- On their turn, players act in accordance with the strength of their cards.
- The number of betting rounds in the game is unlimited. The player holding the best high-ranking hand at the end of the game (no more than two) wins the pot.

3 Patti Terms to Remember
- Boot Amount: Before the betting round, the player must decide on the boot amount and place it in the pot in the centre of the table. It is the minimum amount that each player must put into the pot at the start of the game.
- Blind and Seen: By keeping their cards face down, players can bet after seeing (Seen) or without seeing (Blind) their cards. Blind players can see their cards and play seen at any time during the game. The maximum wager is determined by the current stake and whether you are playing “seen” or “blind.” The current stake for the first player is the boot money/ante.
- Slide Show: When all players have seen their cards and are ready to play, a player can seek a sideshow from the player who bet before him by betting twice the current stake (compromise). It is up to that player whether to accept the request. The betting will continue if the player declines. If he accepts, the two players can compare their cards, with the low-ranking player being forced to fold. The player who requested the side-show must fold if the cards are equal.
- Fold: At any time, a player can fold his cards. You will lose the money you have put into the pot.
- Blind: If the player before you is playing ‘blind,’ you must gamble an amount equal to or twice the existing stake. If the player before you is playing ‘seen,’ bet half or equal to the current stake.
- Chaal: If the player before you is playing ‘seen,’ you must bet twice your existing stake. If he’s playing ‘blind,’ he’ll bet twice the current stake or four times the current stake.
