Donatella Versace decides to play with geometry and contemporary daywear for her Versace F/W 2021 collection. She opted for a digital-only presentation which made her brand the first in the fashion industry to present its collection behind closed doors.
All models walked on in an industrial-looking, paved runway made to look like a 3D maze. This runway collection is displayed with a short 10 minutes catwalk video accompanied by a lookbook photo session. Versace forges a new path with the launch of her Fall/winter collection 2021. Versace admits to the media, saying: “I have realized that this is the future, the new way of communicating collections.”
New monogram-La Greca:
Versace introduces the updated La Greca print as a new monogram for f/w 2021. She displays the monogram in its look-alike 3D form, making it more captivating for the viewers. According to the brand, “you can step right into it.” Click here for more: Versace F/W 2021 review! A dressing guide
La Greca is the true star of the virtual presentation. It is a remake of Versace’s classic Greek Key symbol, which traditionally goes around the Medusa head logo. The new collection started with a few sharply tailored outfits with subtle prints on a purse, collar, and gloves. And in no time, the show shifted into a parade of monogrammed ensembles from head to toe.
Gigi Hadid’s debut after pregnancy:
After six months of giving birth to daughter Khai, Gigi Hadid made an astonishing debut with a new hair transformation in Versace’s winter fall collection runway, which one cannot miss!
The supermodel opened the show in an all-black look with electric blue eyeshadow. Her first look included a blazer, a monogrammed handbag, a crop top, a skirt, and black chunky platform boots.
She slayed her second look in a fully monogrammed red mini-dress, a bandana, and platform boots. Gigi Hadid’s sister Bella Hadid was also a star in Versace’s W/F collection.
Bella Hadid also closed the show wearing a long sheer skirt over a fully monogrammed long sleeve, turtleneck bodysuit. Fans who have missed her stunning appearance at fashion shows are swooning over the supermodel. This time not only has she returned to the runway, but she has also made a debut in red hair.
Black and Browns:
Who thought you’d go to Versace to buy brown and black? Donatella Versace shows us the power of symbols and unmistakable branding by introducing a contemporary rework of its Greca motif for fall 2021 in subtle colors.
The collection is tailored in business-like outfits, with most of the color palette being brown and black. Unlike the history of Versace, where we’ve seen bold colors, J .lo jungle prints, and black and gold power dressing, this season, they brought a massive change in their collection by introducing us to subtle to fully monogrammed looks in black and brown.
Blue is here to stay!
Versace’s W/f ’21 runway showcases the new La Greca print in blue as well. Both male and female model represents their look in a fully monogrammed blue getup. We saw a male model wearing a blue coat, pants, and dress shirt in La Greca print.
One needs confidence and a bold lifestyle to carry the whole new Versace look. But there are more restrictive versions, with the monogram featuring only on the lapel of suits, bags, or tights.
Hints of neon:
Versace adds a hint of neon to the digital runway and makes her collection look super attractive. The W/F 21 collection’s color scheme is mainly based on black and brown, but she adds bold pops of neon contrasted with neutral tones, making a fashion statement.
Versace showcases the monograms in short and revealing hemlines with top-heavy jackets, tone-on-tone dressings, and some very bright color instants.
Yellow and pink in winters:
Every look from Versace’s winter fall collection is unique and stunning. She brings back the monochrome style in some of her items, giving off a total 90’s punk vibe. The short monochrome dresses added glamor to the runway.
Versace also added a little pink and yellow in her items to make them more appealing. We saw models wearing oversized mustard yellow-and-pink pullovers. Or the color was seen added in the signature handbags and boots. Bella Hadid wears a stunning pink short frock in her look, with a pair of monogrammed tights, a bandana, and steals the show in her similar colored platform heels.
Signature handbags:
Versace’s winter fall 2021 collection displays dresses and accessories like signature handbags that give a great look to your overall attire. The signature handbags have the La Greca print on them as well. You can opt for a plain dress with La Greca designed handbags as showcased on the runway by many models if you want a subtle look.
Platform boots:
The ultra-high platform boots and pumps added a glamorous vibe to the show. Versace extended The platforms to both the women’s and men’s collections this year. They were shown in the video and had the “La Greca” logo. It appeared on a series of men’s leather lace-ups, having rubber cut-out soles in the motif’s shape.
Conclusion:
Versace elevated the brand’s iconic Italian glamour in the W/f collection 2021. The subtle black and brown looks, the fully monogrammed head-to-toe looks, the micro-mini dresses in flashy colors and glamorous glitter, the neon-colored monogrammed stockings, everything in her show was top-notch.
Versace enhanced her show’s power by adding supermodels like Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Rianne Van, and Mica Arganaraz in her vertical maze runway. Everyone is already going crazy over her w/f collection after its digital launch. Versace wants to cover you in a new enthralling monogram, ‘La Greca,’ which brings both glamour and style.
