From Chasing Ambulances to Googling How to Find Hit and Run Driver: What is Even Happening Anymore?

Okay, look. It’s been a day. A freaking day. You wanna know about this Oberg law firm thing in Mesquite? Grab a beer. I need one too. So, this firm’s expanding. Whoop-de-doo. More lawyers. Because that’s exactly what Mesquite needed, right? More guys in suits chasing after fender benders. First off, they’re yammering about “broadening expertise” or whatever. What, are they gonna start chasing down hit-and-run drivers themselves now? Ha! I’d pay good money to see some lawyer in his fancy shoes running down Main Street after a beat-up Chevy. And don’t even get me started on their “new technologies.” Ooh, what’d they do, upgrade from flip phones to smartphones? Give me a break.

Do We Even Need This Many Lawyers?

Here’s the thing, right? Mesquite ain’t exactly lawyer central. We’re not tripping over briefcases on every corner. So maybe… just maybe… this ain’t the worst thing ever. But let’s not kid ourselves, okay? You know what really gets my goat? All these out-of-town hotshots thinking they know our town. Like, I saw an ad for some i accident lawyer in East Hartford CT. What in tarnation does some yankee know about Texas law? About as much as I know about… I dunno, lobster racing or whatever they do up there.

It’s Not All Ambulances and Car Wrecks

I’ll give Oberg this much – at least they’re branching out. It ain’t just car crashes anymore. They’re getting into all sorts of weird stuff now. Like, get this. People are asking if is a stroke considered a disability. Or if is Tarlov cyst a disability. Hell, I don’t even know what a Tarlov cyst is. Sounds made up. Probably something they saw on WebMD at 3 AM. And hey, at least we’re not Laredo, right? Heard they’ve got so many injury law firms in Laredo TX, they’re using law books as speed bumps now. Look, I don’t know if this Oberg expansion is gonna save Mesquite or just give us more cheesy commercials during Judge Judy. But I guess if you’re gonna get rear-ended at Walmart, at least now you’ve got options, right? Just… keep it down, will ya? Some of us are trying to live our lives without thinking about personal injury lawsuits every five minutes. Is that too much to ask? Probably. Pass me another beer, would ya?
